We are looking for a Risk Manager to join our team at AWE Nuclear Security Technologies.
Package: £43,390 to £58,000 dependant on experience
Location: RG7 4PR, located between Reading and Basingstoke

Introducing the role:
As a Risk Manager at AWE, you'll play a crucial role in national security by managing risks across key programmes and projects. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work on some of the UK's most complex infrastructure programmes.
A Typical Day:
Leading and managing risk, opportunity, and issue management across defined programmes and projects.Delivering a consolidated view of total risk exposure at the Portfolio and Programme level.Embed risk, opportunity, and issue processes and drive reporting cadence.Conducting assessments and reviews of existing risks.Developing strategies to mitigate identified risks.Review and update Risk Management policy artefacts.Applying risk management methodologies and risk analysis tools.Generating and maintaining Portfolio and Programme risk registers.Providing risk modelling, including programme and cost modelling, using quantitative risk assessment tools and techniques.Actively managing risk and opportunity mitigation actions.Creating contingency plans to manage crises.Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head of Portfolio Risk in managing and maintaining an end-to-end risk profile.Present risk profiles and assessments in reports and governance processes.Attend and facilitate risk meetings.Understand the business financial model and contribute to performance and delivery reviews.Provide strategic and tactical risk insight and thinking.What We’re Looking For:
