The Federal Savings Bank is hiring a Risk Prevention Team Auditor who will be responsible for completing pre-fund and post-close loan reviews, assessing the risk and adherence to the Bank’s risk policy. They must also investigate suspicious and unusual loan activity referrals and properly document reviews in a written summary. They will identify and escalate, as appropriate, fraud trends or schemes to submit to management for actionable purposes and recordkeeping.
Ideal candidates live in the Chicago area and are able to work a hybrid schedule (3 days in office) in our Logan Square corporate office.

Perform prefund and/or post-close audit reviews based on identified high risk loansComplete reverifications as needed, including: income, employment, assets, credit, and appraisalsNotify appropriate operational departments of loan level guideline findingsMaintain accurate and concise recordkeeping on all auditsCollaborate with team members, operational departments, and referring parties Write investigation summaries based on unusual or suspicious activity referrals Process development and automationSupport QC/Risk Prevention manager and Bank needs as they evolve, including policy and procedure maintenance Requirements Bachelor's degree Strong communication skills, written and oralExcellent time management and inventory anticipation skillsAdvanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignmentsStrong analytical skills such as identifying trends, schemes, or patternsQuality control, internal auditing and/or forensic underwriting experience (strongly preferred)Experience with Encompass (preferred)Familiarity with resources such as LexisNexis and BankVOD (strongly preferred)Microsoft Office proficiency, notably Outlook, Excel, Word, and TeamsThe Federal Savings Bank is an equal opportunity employer. Salary Description $72,000 - $82,000
