As the Group Risk and Resilience Manager, you will be hands on in developing and implementing frameworks and strategic initiatives to identify and manage operational risk and opportunity at a business and group level.

You will lead the Group’s resilience strategy by proactively evaluating, evolving and enabling resilience enterprise-wide, with the aim of improving the businesses capability to prepare for, respond to and recover from business disruptions.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

Lead the ongoing development and implementation of Risk and Governance frameworks that align with the Group business strategy and Wesfarmers' overall risk management framework. Lead the ongoing development, implementation, and delivery of effective risk management strategies and business resilience systems across the business aligned with corporate planning and operational objectives. Facilitation of business unit and corporate function risk reviews, including conducting workshops as required to assist identification of business risks. Compile quarterly reporting on Corporate Risk Management activities. Collaborate across leadership groups to develop a coordinated approach to Business Resilience that appropriately balances risk appetite, values, operations and customer expectations. Lead the ongoing development, review and implementation of the crisis management planning processes and procedures to mitigate impact of incidents on Kmart Group's people, assets and the environment. Delivery of the Crisis Management Plan (CMP) and associated development, training and exercising to ensure the company is “crisis ready.”

 

To be successful in this role you’ll have:

 

Minimum of 7 years’ experience within risk across a large-sized organisation.    Leadership or mentoring experience within a fast paced, dynamic, change environment. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced or intricately regulated environment, where meeting strict deadlines is paramount.  A Relevant qualification in Risk Management, Business, Commerce or a related field.  Demonstrated expertise in crafting and implementing training programs and frameworks.  Strong communication skills and a keen ability to advocate for risk and governance priorities.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Proficiency in PowerBi, PowerApps, or project management software highly desired.   The capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, fostering a culture of shared success.
