Risk Specialist will be responsible for managing commodity risk, especially internal and external risk compliance, and position governance within Group Risk Management. You will be involved in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in the Group. This position includes maintaining and updating internal documentation related to risk management processes and implementation and assessment of mechanisms, processes, and procedures in the risk management system. + Maintain the group’s limit framework: ~500 metric ton (MT) limits, the Group Value-at-Risk (VaR) limit, and the VaR and stop-loss limits for the derivative books: + Process and document limit change requests in alignment with the sourcing teams and regional risk teams + Run the VaR for MT limits and new MT limit requests to ensure the consistency of the MT limit with the VaR limit + Maintain the group’s derivative trading mandates to be signed by traders and risk teams + Daily monitoring of limit compliance and documentation of limit excesses + Daily sense check of positions moves on a group level, align with Regional Risk teams in case of unexpected moves + Review and document manual position adjustments booked by the Regional Risk teams + Prepare standard risk reports + The standing slides for the Audit and Risk Committee (AFRQCC) and the Group Commodity Risk Committee (GCRC) + The weekly cash flow at-risk report + Monitoring and regular reporting of exchange position limits + Maintain and run regulatory reporting + Set up and maintain threshold calculations under Mifid, Finfrag, SFA and Dodd-Frank + Monitor CFTC submissions via brokers Minimum Requirements:- + Relevant degree in a quantitative discipline, preferably in economics/finance or related discipline with a good understanding of reporting and analysis techniques + Proficiency in English, both written and oral + 4+ years of experience in Risk Management + High proficiency in Excel, Power BI, FRM and BW are required. + Strong analytical skills + Curiosity to understand positions, position moves and potential risks + Drive for constant improvements in risk infrastructure and methods, automation of reports + Hands-on, being able to work with prototyping and manual checks + Eager to learn about the industry and the company + Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with stakeholders from different levels in the organization + Excellent team player, collaborative and prepared to go the extra mile to accomplish tasks + Ability to work reliably, under deadline pressure and with virtual teams + Diligent with strong work ethics At Barry Callebaut, we are committed to Diversity & Inclusion.
