Job Summary

This position requires programming and system administration skills to maintain risk measurement systems for AEP. This position is responsible for working on data analysis projects that gather and integrate large volumes of data, performs analysis, interprets results, and develops actionable insights and recommendations for use across the company. This includes data mining, data auditing, aggregation, validation, reconciliation, and visualization. This position must have a working knowledge of software such as R, RShiny, Python, SAS, Excel, and others.

Develop systems to optimize operations and support strategic initiatives, using cutting edge information technology and data science methods. Design and deliver clear and succinct results utilizing appropriate visualization methods to support management decision making. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify risks/opportunities with data-driven insights.

During off-hours, may be tasked with monitoring critical processes and resolves failures or recommends alternatives.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Leads development of systems that cross departments. Develops and manages integration between systems. Communicates effectively and understands stakeholders needs, with some presentations required.Oversees the operations of routine risk analysis processes. Possesses a strong understanding of data flow and the high-level functions of risk measurement and reporting processes. Manages scheduling, monitors progress, and ensures the completion of these processes.Provides reporting support for risk analytics systems. Acts as a subject matter expert on risk systems, troubleshooting and resolving production issues, with occasional assistance from IT support and existing staff as needed.Gain comprehensive business knowledge throughout the organization and use it to develop effective solutions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics, or equivalent education and job experience in related field.

Work Experience:

Five years' experience in a relevant field. Advanced programming skill or experience.

Compensation Range:

$85,081.00-106,352.50 USD
