RIVER - Nautical Training Administrator

ROLE DESCRIPTION 
•    The Nautical Training Administrator is responsible for the organization and administering participation of all nautical training at Viking. This includes coordination of all logistical tasks and updating of the Learning Management System. The position requires cooperation with the Training Manager and Nautical Instructors.
•    This role will be an integral part of the Viking College Maritime team.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Organize logistical aspects of all nautical training (accommodation, booking of training facilities, training materials, etc.)
•    Administer training participation and completion
•    Ensuring that all participation details are up to date
•    Communication with training participants
•    Communication with internal and external trainers
•    Administration of online material stored on SharePoint
•    Administration of the Learning Management System for Viking College Maritime:
o    Uploading digital content in cooperation with the Learning and Development department
o    Scheduling all face to face trainings
o    Support to the trainers and instructors in recording attendance
o    Reporting
•    Organization of team meetings
•    Occasionally assist in other administrative tasks (e.g. organizing video recordings or webinars)
•    Occasionally support in coordinating nautical projects

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
•    Fluent written and spoken English, competency in other languages are an asset (German, Dutch)
•    Very well-developed planning and organizational skills
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 package (Sharepoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook)
•    Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
•    Flexibility and willingness for cooperation and teamwork
•    Autonomy

 

NICE TO HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
•    Knowledge of Nautical topics and industry would be an asset
