Responsibilities + Operates a mobile drilling machine to drill predetermined blast hole patterns; may drill back holes for roof bolt ground support; replaces broken or worn bits and steel using hand tools. + Lubricates the equipment and maintains a record of work performed. + Drills predetermined holes to collect the dust for quality samples, which are taken as requested. Equipment problems identified are reported to the Mine Manager, shift supervisor and other appropriate personnel. + Participate in the implementation of safety programs to ensure the safety of employees. Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of MSHA/OSHA/DOT and Pennsy Supply, Inc. + Conduct daily safety assignments + Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. + Perform pre-shift inspections on all equipment. + Understand and adhere to all Government Regulations. + Other duties as assigned.
