A benefits and compensation specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a company’s compensation and benefits programs.

 

Key responsibilities Administer employee lifecycle reward processes (e.g., new hires, life events, and terminations). Administer and manage applicable pension and retirement programs for Latam. Provide comprehensive and effective HR Rewards support, with a strong emphasis on benefits administration. Assist in managing multiple employee and/or manager rewards issues or concerns escalated. Escalate higher-level issues or concerns to the Center of excellence or HRBP as required. Administer applicable Kerry HR and Rewards programs (e.g., car program, scholarship program, benefit plans, recognition programs, medical and life insurance, annual benefits renewal). Manage and administer leave of absence programs applicable for LATAM. Administer employee lifecycle reward processes (e.g., new hires, life events, and terminations). Administer and manage applicable pension and retirement programs for LATAM. Form solid working relationships within Kerry, leveraging communication technologies and tools, and developing thorough knowledge of the business and HR Rewards policies and procedures. Utilize Continuous Excellence tools to deliver effective cost savings and provide efficient, solution-driven resources for key stakeholders. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements as applicable. Partner with HRDs, HRBPs, HR Managers, and Center of excellence to maintain effective execution of the Rewards strategy.

 

Qualifications and skills Over 3 years of experience in Rewards, with mandatory knowledge in Compensation and Benefits for Mexico and desirable knowledge for other LATAM countries, especially Brazil. Includes administration of medical and life insurance, benefits invoice management, and company car administration. Proficiency in English and Spanish (Portuguese desirable), high competence in Excel, managing through systems, and data-driven approach. Ability to manage and negotiate with vendors, including the annual renewal of benefits and the implementation of new benefits. Capability to perform compensation analysis and competitiveness benchmarking, participate in benefits and compensation surveys, and manage process documentation (SOPs, Work Instructions). Effective communication of benefits, facilitating training on new or updated benefits for the internal team and employees. Includes negotiation, timely decision making, results orientation, resilience, self-awareness, customer focus, collaboration, presentation skills, process management, and interpersonal savvy. Proficiency in English and Spanish (Portuguese desirable), high competence in Excel, managing through systems, and data-driven approach. Ability to manage projects, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborate with HRDs, HRBPs, HR Managers, and COEs to maintain effective execution of the Rewards strategy.
