Job DescriptionExciting Opportunity at MSK: We are seeking a Radiochemistry & Molecular Imaging Probes (RMIP) Core Radiopharmacist to join our growing Radiochemistry and Molecular Imaging Sciences Service.
Radiochemistry and Molecular Imaging Probes Core Facility was established to provide clinicians institution-wide with molecular imaging and radiotherapeutic agents for both clinical use and clinical research use applications. The Radiopharmacist will work in a state of art cGMP facility actively taking part in quality assurance role, manufacturing FDA approved radiopharmaceuticals as well as developing a new theragnostic radiopharmaceuticals.
Role Overview:
Manage the clinical production and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals manufactured in compliance with the Core's established Quality Assurance System. This system is required by local and federal regulation and based on their applicable regulations and guidance on radiopharmaceutical manufacturing and dispensing.Supervise manufacturing operations and production staff duties to assure safe and reliable clinical production of radiopharmaceutical agents.Be responsible for the (1) generation, review, submission, and implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure's (SOP's), (2) generation of regulatory submissions and associated documentation, and (3) novel radiopharmaceutical manufacturing process development and validation.Key Qualifications:
Doctorate in Pharmacy from an NABP accredited School of Pharmacy. Increased emphasis on completion of the college level Expository Writing, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Infectious Disease Management.Working knowledge of FDA regulations and guidance pertaining to manufacture of various types of pharmaceuticals and/or radiopharmaceuticals. Working knowledge of applicable standards for manufacture of pharmaceuticals and/or radiopharmaceuticals. Working knowledge of radiation safety regulations as well as other FDA, NRC, and New York State Board of Pharmacy regulations applicable to pharmaceutical manufacturing, handling, and dispensing.Authorized User preferred.PET and/or Commercial Radiopharmaceutical Manufacturing experience preferred.Core Skills:
