RN, Cardiac Rehab (PRN)
The Cardiac Rehab nurse refers to, consults with, and makes provision for continuity of care
with other healthcare providers. This role specializes in the care and management of
pre- and post-cardiac adult and geriatric patients; provides rehabilitative care education,
and psychosocial support to patients; acts as a resource for cardiovascular department personnel.

REQUIRED:

1. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

2. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire date into position.

3. One (1) year experience in medical surgical nursing or related area and one (1) year experience involving the treatment of cardiac or critical care patients.

4. Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.

 

PREFERRED: Strong background in pacemaker interpretation and functioning.
