The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) – Critical Care is responsible for the initial and ongoing education and competency assessment and evaluation process within their service lines. The Critical Care Nurse Educator assists nursing services and provides programs and training to enhance the development of technical, psychomotor, and critical thinking domains. The Critical Care Nurse Educator will maintain clinical competency in order to best assess and assist the needs of the units assigned.
Education and Experience
Minimum Required Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Education
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Education required within 2 years
Experience: Minimum 3+ years critical care nursing, preferably with trauma and neuro; Nurse Educator experience preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Virginia or compact state; Must have current BLS and ACLS. CCRN preferred.
