Job Summary: The Resources Coordinator conducts unit-based and specialty formal and informal education programs for professional and paraprofessional staff. Assists with Q.A. program and participates in and supports direct patient care.
Minimum Education: Has completed the basic professional curricula of a school of nursing as approved and verified by a state board of nursing, and holds or is entitled to hold a diploma or degree therefrom.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Valid multi-state or State of Oklahoma Registered Nurse License.
Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years related Home Health experience or Med/Surg preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of general disease state management processes, bio- psychosocial model, and clinical pathways. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to be detail oriented as required in the examination of clinical and numerical data.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Coordinates educational activities based on identified educational needs. Plans, coordinates and initiates the orientation process for new professional and paraprofessional staff. Serves as a resources person in area of specialty. Assumes responsibility for clinical ladder. Supports agency/hospital goals through performance improvement/quality assurance and education activities to promote quality patient outcomes.
Decision Making: The carrying out of non-routine procedures under constantly changing conditions, in conformance with general instructions from supervisor.
Working Relationship: Coordinates activities of others (does not supervise). Direct Supervision of others - No. of people supervised: (8-12). Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers . Works with internal/external customers. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff. Works frequently with individuals at director level or above.
