Summary: 

The Nurse Manager is responsible for and performs line management functions and fiscal management for the unit. Conducts and manages performance improvement activities, develops and monitors departmental policies and procedures. Monitors department payroll to assure adherence to policies by staff and eliminates unnecessary overtime. Establishes collaborative relationships with physicians. Recommends and implements changes in clinical practice or process based on clinical findings, multidisciplinary recommendations and research. Evaluates staff and identifies areas of performance excellence and areas regarding development. 

Education and Experience:

Current RN license with BLS certification. BSN required. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Clinical Coordinator or Charge Nurse. Knowledge of State,Federal, and Joint Commission compliance guidelines and strategies required.
