**Responsibilities:**
GENERAL PURPOSE
The clinical lead nurse for Passport Health (PPH) assume an essential role in high quality, client focused care. The nurse leads by example and role models excellence in clinical practice. The nurse provides clinical leadership and clinical supervision for staff in delivering client services. The nurse provides expert insight and clinical perspective to CNE leadership about program development and program needs.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
+ Provides direct care to clients in PPH. Conducts assessments, plans and evaluates care using culturally sensitive approaches based on current best practice standards and available evidence. Demonstrates clinical mastery in the delivery of clinical services. Supports changes in clinical care that promote effective, efficient care. Promotes efficiency in the conduct of daily practice. Assures superior client experience.
+ Collaborates with administrative leadership in PPH to assure operational excellence and responsive, innovative business practices.
+ Assures accurate and complete documentation in client records, including (as appropriate) client sessions, referrals, vaccine safety and efficacy information, travel advisories and other job-critical information shared via electronic communication and in education meetings.
+ Supervises staff in delivery of clinical care. Role models professional behaviors. Communicates important program information to staff in program. Leads program-based team meetings; oversees agenda for meetings, recruits speakers as needed, writes, distributes, and stores meeting minutes and attendance.
+ Collaborates across Programs in the Center for Nursing Entrepreneurship to support clinical and business needs.
+ Participates in hiring, onboarding, professional development and evaluation of clinical staff. Develops, documents, and updates orientation program using competency-based learning methods. Oversees orientation of new clinical staff, confirms progress and completion of orientation. Mentors nurses within the Passport Health Program: Participates in developing ongoing continuing education plan for clinical staff.
+ Participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement process. Review reports relevant to QA/QI, identify clinical issues based on incidents or trended data, participate in QA/QI reviews specific to program and make recommendations to improve quality of care. Reviews productivity targets and success metrics and recommends changes to adjust or meet targets.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
+ RN License in NYS required
+ 3 to 5 years relevant RN experience required
+ Previous leadership experience preferred
+ 2 years of experience delivering client centered care
+ or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
+ Excellent communications skills required
+ Excellent computer skills required
+ Excellent problem-solving abilities required
+ Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary team required
+ Well coach Certification within 2 years preferred
