Job Description Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated support for anesthesia services in MRI while also floating to other procedural areas as needed. This role is crucial in ensuring safe and efficient anesthesia care for MRI patients, enhancing workflow, and improving coverage for off-unit anesthesia needs. Additional support may be provided in CT, Interventional Radiology (IR), Digestive Health Institute Montana (DHIM), the Operating Room (OR), and inpatient units.Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary RN supporting anesthesia services in MRI, ensuring safe patient care during imaging procedures.
Assist anesthesia providers with patient preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
Maintain infection control standards and ensure patient safety in MRI and other procedural areas.
Transcribe and implement provider orders accurately and efficiently.
Assess, document, and report changes in patient conditions to the care team.
Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures and post-care expectations.
Float to other procedural areas (CT, IR, OR, DHIM, inpatient units) as needed to support anesthesia care.
Work collaboratively with anesthesia providers and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
Qualifications
Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact license with authorization to practice in Montana (required).
Minimum of two (2) years’ RN experience in a medical setting (preferred). Experience in anesthesia, procedural care, or critical care is beneficial.
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and patient care principles.
BLS and Healthcare Provider CPR certification (required). Additional certifications may be required based on assigned areas.
Understanding of confidentiality laws, HIPAA guidelines, and patient safety protocols.
Strong familiarity with medical equipment, clinical procedures, and safety regulations.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
