Overview

CHI Lisbon Health is hiring a responsible and compassionate Registered Nurse with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

As our Medical Surgical Nurse at CHI Lisbon Health,  you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency. More specifically, you will work on our Med Surg and Swing Bed unit providing care to patients of all ages experiencing a variety of medical illnesses including, but not limited to pulmonary, cardiovascular disease/illness, wound care, infectious diseases, GI and GU issues; as well as respite and end of life care.

Keen assessment skills, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency support your career advancement and you thrive in a changing clinical environment where you will rarely experience the same day twice.

It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process. As a Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality patient care according to the specific orders of each patient’s individual physician. This will involve, utilizing your knowledge and skills to educate patients and their families on prevention and healthy habits.

Responsibilities
Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needsCollaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patientsAdministering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ ordersFostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their familiesExcept to deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging
Qualifications

Required:

Graduation from an accredited school or college of nursing.Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Dakota.Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association.

ACLS within 6 months of hire.

TNCC within 6 months of hire.

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred.
