Position Summary
Miami Job Corps Center operated by Adams and Associates, Inc., is hiring a RN responsible for the provision of preventative and emergency health services and wellness education to students.
Responsibilities
Assist in the supervision and management the Wellness Department and staff. Compile and submit all required reports and plans in compliance with government regulations. Coordinate the provisions of third-party health insurance for students, coordinating health services, environmental health inspections and other health-related issues. Evaluate student health issues and concerns and make treatment referrals as appropriate. Maintain and revise current health care guidelines to ensure quality and effective wellness services to students. Coordinate chronic condition case management programs and educate support staff. Proactively manage the Center’s medical separation process and provide students with the required medical services and referrals to ensure student return and completion of the Job Corps program. Participate as an active member of the Center’s HEALs (Healthy Eating, Active Lifestyles) Committee. May serve as the chairperson of the HEALs Committee. Comply with HIPPA and other applicable laws and regulations regarding patient privacy and the maintenance of medical records.May serve as Health & Wellness Director (if allowed under local state practice law). Assists in the supervision and management of the Wellness Services Department and subcontracted wellness services including mental health, dental and medical services.
