Job Details Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cancer Center team. In this role, you will provide exceptional nursing care to oncology patients, assisting with treatments, managing symptoms, and educating patients and families on cancer-related care. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including administering chemotherapy, IV fluids, and other medications. Monitor patients for side effects or reactions to cancer treatments. Assess, plan, and implement individualized patient care plans. Collaborate with oncologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care. Educate patients and their families about cancer treatments, side effects, and post-treatment care. Perform patient assessments and document all care provided in the patient’s electronic health record (EHR). Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout their cancer treatment journey. Ensure a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients at all times. Qualifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York. BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) preferred; associate degree in nursing accepted with a commitment to obtain BSN within a specified time frame. Previous oncology nursing experience preferred. Chemotherapy certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
