If you are committed to social justice, health equity, and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us. _For the health of our community ... we are proud to announce that we are a tobacco-free campus._ **Responsibilities** A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized, high-acuity care to critically ill or injured patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced treatment. They assess, stabilize, and manage patients with life-threatening conditions, administering medications, managing ventilators, IV drips, and other critical interventions. The ICU RN works closely with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and adjust care plans, ensuring rapid responses to changes in the patient's condition. They maintain detailed, accurate records, educate families about the patient's condition, and provide emotional support while prioritizing patient safety in a high-pressure environment. + Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care to achieve desired health outcomes for the patient. + Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient. + Demonstrates the ability to recognize and adapt to changes in patients condition (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. + Recognizes limits of scope of practice, seeks multidisciplinary collaboration, utilizes appropriate resources, and follows chain of command. + Documents the nursing care plan and incorporates the nursing process following the standard of care for patient care area. + Connects with and establish relationships with the patient and their family/caregivers using therapeutic communication skills. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000. **Qualifications** **Minimum:** + Graduate of an accredited school of nursing + AZ State RN License or Compact State License + American Heart Association-issued BLS card + American Heart Association-issued ACLS card + Basic computer skills + Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills **Preferred:** + BSN + One year recent acute care experience **Pay Range** $35.00 - $58.63 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
