Job Overview: RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Operating Room at the Morris Cancer Center on the New Brunswick campus, Qualifications: Required: + Minimum of 1 year OR experience, or recent graduate from the Periop101 program. + Strong communication and organizational skills. + Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure surgical environment. Certifications and Licenses Required: + Current RN license in the state of New Jersey. + BLS and ACLS certification required. Preferred: + CNOR certification preferred but not required. Scheduling Requirements: + Schedule: 40 Hours per week, evening shift 11:00a-7:30p. + Weekends, Holidays, and on-call requirements as assigned. Essential Functions: + The OR Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the surgical setting, working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. + This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to improving surgical outcomes for oncology patients. + Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room. + Assess, plan, and implement patient care before, during, and after surgery. + Assist surgical teams by providing necessary instruments and supplies. + Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. + Adhere to hospital policies and best practices in perioperative nursing. + Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
