The RN Administrator is responsible for all functions of the agency, including business development, financial management, strategic oversight, employee well-being and quality assurance. This role identifies home health needs, resources and ensures the organization is in compliance with the rules and laws of regulatory agencies and that company policies and procedures are being followed.
Job Summary:
Identifies and provides counsel regarding the needs of the community, financial needs,professional practices, and health planning. Oversees and analyzes budgeting and agency fiscal activities. Maintains and updates agency policies/procedures and reporting activities. Employs, contracts, recruits, manages and directs qualified personnel to carry out agency
policies and procedures. Ensures adequate staff education and evaluation. Organizes and directs the agency’s ongoing
functions. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of and ensures compliance with all local, state and federal
laws relating to all the operations of the agency. Designates in writing who will provide entry into agency to State surveyors. Ensures public relations program materials and activities that interpret the agency’s services to
the community are accurate and correct to foster a good relationship with physicians and
community agencies. Reviews and manages all complaints for the agency. Responsible for supervision of satisfaction surveys and outcomes of all patients served Review and process client occurrence reports. Maintains accurate and complete business profile. Implements and ensures corporate initiatives are in place for all offices. Consults with physicians and other health care providers to assess community home care
service needs and develops and implements services to meet identified needs. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all segments of the staff,
lay and professional public, Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Medical Director. Promotes public awareness of home health program.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Ability to satisfactorily meet Company measured goals and objectives. Must have knowledge of home health rules and regulations. Familiarity with health care laws, regulations and standards. Must possess excellent program management skills to continually ensure compliance.Education, Professional License, or Certification Requirements
Licensed Physician, Registered Nurse or someone with an undergraduate degree Training/experience in health service administration. At least 1 year supervisory administrative experience in home health care or a related healthcare program. Must have, or be able to obtain, administrative hours and training as outlined in local, State and
Federal regulatory guidance covering Medicare certified home health agencies. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Law, Business, or related field; Master’s desired.
