As an RN in the Endoscopy Department, you will support intra-procedural patients and follow established standards, department guidelines and hospital policies and procedures. You will use strong assessment and critical thinking skills to collaborate with the multi-disciplinary to ensure patient advocacy and safety.
A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 4:30PM and 6:30AM – 4:00PM.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Establish and maintain courteous and cooperative relations with patients and other users of the ASC. Oversee the clinical practice of nursing in the ASC including assessing patient care needs and planning the delivery of care utilizing the nursing process in a variety of settings. Direct other caregivers in providing patient care. Report variances from standard practice to the Nurse Manager. Develop educational material and provide health education to patients and families. Process patients through the ASC. Assess the level of personnel skills and the availability of resources to meet established patient outcomes. Monitor and evaluate cost effective practices within the ASC. Participate in the development and utilization of quality monitoring programs within the ASC. Complete all mandatory nursing competencies and educational requirements within a defined time frame. Participate in the preparation of staff development programs and identify self-learning needs, establish personal and professional goals to meet those needs, and evaluate attainment of set goals. Demonstrate respect for the cultural and social differences that exist among people. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, families and staff members.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) One year of clinical experience as a RN in a perioperative or critical care settingPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

Physical Requirements:
•Medium Work, exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
•Physical Demand in excess of those for Light Work
