RN-Cardiovascular Outpatient - SMC OP Heart & Vascular Center (PT)

Job Title:  Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab Outpatient Heart and Vascular Center

Location:  Spartanburg, SC

As a Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab Outpatient Heart and Vascular Center at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, you will play a key role in assisting with a variety of minimally invasive interventional and diagnostic cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Under the direction of the Manager, you will help perform:

Diagnostic imaging to assess for vascular blockages or narrowing. Vascular interventional procedures, including: Atherectomy Peripheral Angioplasty Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) treatment Intravascular Imaging Vein Ablations Stent placement Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE) to evaluate structural heart disease, blood clots, or arrhythmias. Cardioversions Implantation or removal of subcutaneous rhythm monitors (Loop Recorders)

You will receive extensive training to ensure your expertise and proficiency in pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care, handling a patient census ranging from 6 to 14 cases daily. This role is ideal for those who thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with strong communication skills.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of cardiac experience License/Certification: Current RN license in South Carolina Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (required for Cardiac Rehab and Outpatient Heart and Vascular Center)

Preferred Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Experience: 2 years of cardiac experience in an Outpatient Heart and Vascular Center
