Responsibilities

We are seeking an RN Case Manager within our Arthritis & Clinical Immunology Research Program at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. 

 

Responsibilities include:

-Providing quality patient care by assisting patients with coordination of care, obtaining authorizations, scheduling appointments, and offering advice and/or guidance.

-Assisting patients with health-related issues like medical assistance and mobility assistance programs as well as performing insurance prior authorizations and assisting with any denial appeals or questions.

-Utilizing community, institutional, government, and industry resources to assist patients with finances, medications, services, and other health related needs.

-Facilitating patient care coordination within OMRF and with other institutions’ social and health care providers which can include such items as processing outside referrals and completing various forms.

-Serving as an educational resource for patients/families about disease-oriented support.
-Providing case management services for autoimmune disease patients (primarily multiple sclerosis).

-Other duties as assigned.

  Minimum Qualifications

-Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Oklahoma.
-Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat diseases, including symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions.

-Keeps abreast of changes in policies, protocols, and procedures.

-Must be highly customer service and detail oriented, driven, dependable, efficient, professional, flexible, industrious, creative, conscientious, and adaptive.

-Ability to multi-task, work independently and as a team player.

-Must possess superb communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Skilled at maintaining accurate documentation and confidential information.

-Ability to deal professionally with diverse personalities and cultures in stressful and difficult situations.

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred. CMSC Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist preferred.

Work Hours

Typically Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.
