JOB SUMMARY: Provides direct patient care in the clinical outpatient settings of the Cath Lab, Special Procedures and Diagnostic Imaging. The nurse will work collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary team members under the direction of the Department Director or designee. The goal is to promote and restore patient’s health by completing the nursing process through the collection, verification and organization of data, incorporating elements of family centered care. Planning for care, implementing and assessing the plan and evaluating their outcomes are integral elements of the nursing process. Documentation of findings in a timely and accurate manner according to hospital policy is required.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Please put in the posting that a minimum of 2 years of procedural experience is required (Cath lab, OR, Endoscopy, or Interventional Radiology/DI), as well as at least 1 year prior experience placing PICC & Midlines. Other candidates will not be qualified if these minimum requirements are not met.
EDUCATION: Graduate of a Professional School of Nursing.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current Montana License as a Registered Nurse. BLS, ACLS required. For those nurses working in DI, PALS certification is also required. Competency delivering sedation will be maintained according to hospital policy. Certification in a Nursing Specialty, such as CCRN, preferred.
