Schedule: 7am-5pm / (4)10hour shifts - days vary - 8-12 Call days per month (including weekends)

The role you’ll contribute:

A Registered Nurse who is responsible for appropriate and safe care of patients in the Cath Lab, IR Lab, Cath/IR Recovery and Non-Invasive areas. Must work independently as well as within the team.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

Is responsible for a holistic, individualized assessment of each patient in relationship to age, physiological, and psychological status.

Will identify and communicate any change in the patient's status.

Interprets, evaluates and implements physician orders in a timely manner.

Is able to establish priorities and plans appropriate/responsible actions accordingly.

Addresses educational needs of patients and their families.

Administration knowledge of commonly used drugs/solutions used in the Cardiology and IR procedures.

Participates in the transfer of patient information to provide for continued quality care.

Documents all phases of patient status while responsible for their care.

Is able to assist with Cath Lab, IR, and Non-Invasive procedures as needed.

Uses stock judiciously and in a cost-effective manner.

Able to provide post procedure hemostasis and correctly apply post procedure dressing.

Participates in equipment quality controls and quality improvement efforts.

Rotates weekends and nights for call per department needs.

Responsible for daily crash cart checks.

Responsible for transporting patients to and from the department.

Qualifications - External

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

BSN required

Requires a minimum of 1-year experience as an RN

Must have a current GA RN license

Must have current BLS and ACLS
