PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates competence in research, evidenced based practice, and quality improvement.May assist nurses at all levels in the organization to recognize gaps between evidence and practice design.Designs research and evidence-based curricula that meets nurses’ learning needs to achieve desired patient outcomes, increased clinical competence, promotes error reduction and patient safety, and enhances professional development in evidence-based care.Incorporates research, scholarly and evidence-based practice into existing educational models/programs.Mentors nurses and clinicians at all levels of the organization in research and the interpretation and translation of published evidence into practice.Assists with planning, designing, and implementing research projects, including maintaining records, Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, and submitting manuscripts to journals as applicable.Guides nurses in the internal and external dissemination of research and evidence-based practice work.Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.

Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
