Conemaugh Physician Group is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse on daylight for Vascular Surgery (located directly in the hospital) in Johnstown, PA. Evaluates, plans and administers nursing care to patients in office setting as ordered by physician. Demonstrated knowledge of venipuncture, injections and phlebotomy. Provides prescribed medication or treatment and helps physician during exams/treatment including wound care. Reports patient status, refers problems when necessary and anticipates situations that prevent/minimize adverse outcomes or less than optimal outcomes. Monitors and records patient condition and outcomes and notifies physician when appropriate. Maintains advanced clinical vascular skills. Utilizes expert clinical decision-making. Identifies educational needs of patients/families and collaborates with nurses and other health care professional to meet those needs. Implements physician orders and records physician’s verbal orders. Provides patient assessment during patient testing. Assists with facilitation of scheduling of diagnostic studies and works with insurance companies to obtain authorizations. Collaborates with other disciplines to achieve outcome. Works with Medical Director and providers of clinic to establish goals to achieve desired outcomes; implements plan of care and evaluates patient response. Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and ability to change in a dynamic environment. Demonstrates ability to work independently as well as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Calls patients with results of vascular testing as needed. Refills patient medications electronically or via telephone. *Job Qualifications: * *Education:* *Required: *Graduate of an approved school of nursing. ** *Experience:* *Required:*Minimum of three**years' experience. *Preferred:*Experience in acute vascular care. ** *Certification/Licensure/Registration:* *Required:* Current PA RN license.
