Monterey Park Hospital, located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is a 101 bed acute care community hospital. We are currently recruiting for a Critical Care 8 Hour Registered Nurse for our Surgery Unit. This is a full time, 8 hour, evening shift (3pm-11pm) position. This RN position reports to the Clinical Director of Surgical Services. Monterey Park Hospital has provided our community with advanced medical and culturally sensitive healthcare services for over 50 years.
ResponsibilitiesThe operating room nurse is a registered nurse who uses specialized knowledge and skills in the care of patients and families undergoing operative and invasive procedures. The OR RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, and evaluate patient care while providing circulating and/or scrub professional nursing services. The OR RN is responsible for providing a safe, efficient, and caring environment, one in which the surgical team can function and in which the outcome for the patient is as positive as possible. Provides circulating and/or scrub nurse services in the operating room during surgical procedures and assists surgical team as needed in any other capacity, according to established procedures.
Qualifications BSN Preferred.One-year’s acute care hospital experience in the Operating Room preferred.California RN license & BLS required.
