Functions as an intricate member of the multi-disciplinary team. Requirements and Responsibilities: + Licensure and Certifications: Employee maintains current licensure and/or required certifications. (If ‘No’ employee is put on leave without pay until in compliance) + Annual Mandatory Education: Employee completes annual Mandatory Education Module, Annual Health Assessment,Age Specific requirements, etc… (If ‘No’ employee is put on leave without pay until in compliance) + Time and Attendance: Employee complies with all HealthAlliance and departmental policies for time and attendance. + Professional Appearance: Employee complies with HealthAlliance policy for professional Appearance (Dress Code), including wearing ID Badge. + Safety – maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, physicians and employees. + Applies the nursing process to perform initial and ongoing assessment of patients. + Recognizes importance of informed consent. + Follow policies and standards to assess, monitor and recover patients undergoing conscious sedation. + Follows policies and standards to assess and recover patients during Phase II recovery. + Evaluates patients learning needs related to procedures and provides education throughout patient stay and upon discharge. + Accurately documents in the patient record utilizing appropriate documentation in electronic medical record. + Use proper tools to accurately charge patients. + Performs any other duties as assigned. Education: + Minimum – 2 yr. College degree; preferred – 4 yr. College degree Experience: + Minimum – 1 yr. Acute care experience; preferred – 1 yr. Hemodialysis experience Training/License: + NYS Registered Professional Nurse; BLS Certifications Other: oNephrology nursing certification preferred, med/surg nursing certification preferred.
