Position Summary: Develops, organizes, and conducts clinical and policy training for all direct patient care personnel. Schedules workforce training programs across the organization. Educates management regarding new technologies and teaches facilities personnel the standards for maintenance of environmental integrity. Supervises education coordinators in order to ensure effective and efficient delivery of workforce education programs.
Critical Tasks:
Develops, organizes, and conducts clinical training for all direct patient care personnel.Oversees implementation of newly developed policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance across all departments.Maintains master training schedule and collaborates with department managers to schedule training programs as directed by the Director.Tracks all employees on the GRHC Training Database to allow for appropriate implementation of training policies and activities and maintain compliance with all organizational risk management initiatives.Collects and reports on educational program data to assist management in workforce education planning.Educates and trains managers, directors, and clinical staff regarding new technologies.Educates appropriate personnel regarding the maintenance of environmental integrity in order to ensure patient and staff safety.Oversees preceptor program to guarantee individual clinical training within each facility meets organizational standards.Supervises and oversees education coordinators in order to allow for effective delivery of workforce training programs.Oversees the financial spending of workforce education programs and reports expenses to management to ensure efficient use of funds.Performs other job-related activities as requested.Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program from a university or college; Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Registered Nurse Licensure in AZ or qualified Compact Licensure.3 years of RN experience in a hospital/outpatient health care setting. 2 years of health education experience. Certified Health Educator preferred.Current and continuing BLS training and certifications. Demonstrates ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Community and/or other Native American cultures and community health services.
