JOB SUMMARY
To provide nursing care to patients of all ages, from newborn to elderly as demonstrated by the nursing process. Data collected will be pertinent to the age and developmental level of the patient. The Emergency Department RN is accountable for the provision of quality patient care. The Emergency RN utilizes the nursing process to provide quality care to department patients. Accepts responsibility for maintaining and improving professional skills essential to the area of clinical practice. Supports the hospital's Mission and Value Statement Philosophy through shared values and service excellency.
Previous Emergency Department experience. **Weekend Duty/Holiday Rotation**
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Preferred: BSNTraining and Experience
Required: At least one year experience as an RN in hospital nursing, Emergency Department preferred Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people. Capable of functioning effectively under stressful situations. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job to serve patients of all ages.WA State Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Required: Active WA State RN LicenseClinical Certifications
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, & PALS required. BLS required at hire. ACLS required to be obtained within 90 days from hire date. TNCC & PALS to be obtained within one year from hire date.
