Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an exciting potential opportunity for an Emergency Medicine RN at Tripler Army Medical Center, in Honolulu Hawaii.
Minimum Qualifications:
Active RN state licensePossess and maintain certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).Possess and maintain certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).Minimum of three years of experience as a registered nurse with at least one year of experience within the last three years in the Emergency Department or in a critical care area of four or more beds as a registered nurse.
Core Duties:
Knowledge of interpersonal relationships and the ability to maintain composure and react appropriately while relating to patients and families; to manage distraught, irritable, unreasonable or angry individuals; and to maintain positive rapport with all individuals involved in patient care. Ability to react with alertness and skill in any emergency situation, e.g., cardiac or respiratory arrest, hemorrhage, shock, severe physical trauma and psychiatric reaction. Serves as member of the resuscitation team. Responsibilities:Assess patients' conditions for potential or life threatening crises. Distinguish between normal and abnormal physical findings (from physical assessment and vital sign assessment). Plan appropriate nursing care. Obtain patient history and pertinent family history. Document plan of care and care given in patient's medical record. Utilize appropriate nursing personnel to assist in delivery of care when indicated (LPNs/paraprofessionals)Position Highlights:
