Responsibilities
The Infusion Registered Nurse is responsible for applying clinical nursing knowledge and skills to promote the safety and comfort of patients and families according to legal, organizational, and professional standards. This position will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to infusion patients through education, nursing assessment, and administration of medications such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other IV therapies. The Infusion Registered Nurse assesses for physiological and psychosocial needs, implements nursing interventions, and communicates patient concerns to the healthcare team.

Salary Range: $80,027 - $107,798 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Education
Required:
RN I Infusion
Graduate from an approved RN program
RN II Infusion
Graduate from an approved RN program
Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
Experience
Required:
RN I Infusion
2-5 years clinical RN experience
1+ year infusion, oncology, or related experience
RN II Infusion
5 years clinical RN experience
2 years infusion, oncology, or related experience
Preferred:

Chemotherapy administration experience
RN II Infusion
Chemotherapy administration experience
License(s)
Required:
RN I Infusion
Valid and current Texas RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Assoc
Completion of ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Fundamentals of Administration
or Certificate Course within 3 months of employment
RN II Infusion
Valid and current Texas RN license
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Assoc
Completion of ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Course within 3 months of employment
ACLS within 3 months of employment
Completion annually of 10 CEU’s related to Oncology
OCN or CRNI certification within 24 months of employment

Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) certification
RN II Infusion
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification

Proficiency in IV insertion
Basic computer skills
Experience with EMRs
