Job Summary
The RN Instructor presents education programs for the community and/or staff as assigned.
Minimum QualificationsMinimum Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 Year of experience in Nursing
Substitutable Education & Experience: None.
Required Certifications/Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing;
Maintains certification as required for specific programs (i.e.: Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Breastfeeding Educator, Certified CPR Instructor, etc.).
Required Training: Competent communicator with class participants from the following age groups as required: Infant (Birth to 1 year); Child (1 year through 12 years); Adolescent (13 years through 17 years); Adult (18 years to 65 years); Geriatric (Over 65 years).

The RN Instructor identifies opportunities for improvement and coordinates/participates in the development and implementation of action plans to improve educational programs. Identifies ineffective routines, interventions, systems, etc. which do not contribute to desired or identifiable outcomes and takes action to change these practices. Facilitates change in a positive manner. Performs all other duties as assigned.
