Supervisor responsibilities - Supervise clinical staff, providing leadership and support to ensure optimal patient care. - Conduct resident admissions/assessments to prioritize patient needs and facilitate timely interventions. - Oversee scheduling needs and assist the on call person with filling shifts. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care delivery for results. - Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. - Monitor staff and ensure adherence to facility policy. - Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. - Evaluate the effectiveness of clinical practices and recommend improvements as necessary. Skills - Strong knowledge of nursing home practices and procedures. - Proficient in admissions/patient assessment methodologies. - Experience working with the elderly population. - Expertise in conducting diagnostic evaluations within a clinical framework. - Familiarity with infection control standards and practices. - Ability to supervise and mentor clinical staff effectively. - Understanding of systems that support efficient healthcare delivery. - Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices. must take an ON-Call weekend rotation
