Most of your patients are funneled in from other units providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency. If you are committed to social justice, health equity, and prepared to deliver care in new, innovative ways, you belong with us. **Responsibilities** + Assesses patient’s health and continuously monitors; detect changes in symptoms, health or pain, and take action as necessary; and quickly and accurately assess patient care needs + Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol + Sets priorities in plan of care based on assessed needs and anticipates personnel, supplies, and equipment required to care for patients based on assessed needs + Works collaboratively with provider to provide exceptional care + Administers medications, IV therapy, and treatments in compliance with policies and procedures + Provides patient and family education + Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms + Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the Medical-Surgical Unit + Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies + Utilizes resources appropriately and follows facility guidelines, policies, and procedures **Qualifications** **Required Education and Experience** + Associate’s Degree in Nursing **Required Licensure and Certifications** + Registered Nurse: North Dakota or compact RN license for ND. + American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card-CPR. + PALS - + within 6 months of start. + ACLS - + within 6 months of start. **Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training** + Strong oral communications skills + Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people + Strong critical thinking skills + Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes + Ability to manage multiple priorities **Pay Range** $33.60 - $48.73 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
