Job Description SummaryUses the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care provided to individuals in a Critical Care Unit (e.g., NCCU, CVICU, CCU). Actively accepts, understands, and practices appropriate standards of critical care nursing. Actively supports the mission, vision, and values of the hospital and department. Performs various activities related to the needs of critically ill patients in accordance with the hospital’s established policies and procedures to include the following age groups: infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.
Job DescriptionQUALIFICATIONS:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing;Current RN license in the state.LANGUAGE/ COMMUNICATION SKILLS:Must be able to read, write, and speak English

SKILLS:

Successful course completion in Advanced Cardiac Life Support or completion within 3 months of hire;Successful course completion in Basic Cardiac Life Support;Successful course completion of institutional Intermediate EKG Course;Successful course completion of institutional Critical Care Course if no prior Critical Care experience;Successful completion of stroke requirements;Experience in operating personal computers, including operation of computer software in a Windows environment (preferred).
