Make a Difference
The RN Nurse Manager will oversee the transfer center RNs, centralized dispatching, the central staffing office, and the tele-sitters. This position achieves the goals and objectives of the department through the development of a new partnership between team members, physicians, and the network, consistent with the values, mission, and vision of Community Health Network. The RN Nurse Manager serves as a leader in providing excellent service, clinical standards, and patient satisfaction goals including patient/physician relationships and staff rounding. This position ensures staffing meets departmental workload and assignments reflect appropriate utilization of personnel, scope of practice, competencies, patient needs, and level of care. The RN Nurse Manager utilizes evidence-based practices regarding patient mix, resulting in improved clinical outcomes, and increased patient satisfaction.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

5 (five) or more years of RN experience required. 3 (three) or more years of management/leadership experience required. 3 (three) or more years of experience in Critical Care, Emergency, ICU or NICU preferred. 2 year / Associate Degree Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).  Bachelor’s degree required within 5 years of assuming the role.  Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency required. Certification required in relevant specialty or Nursing Administration within three years of assuming the role. Work autonomously without direct supervision. Ability to manage financial resources, including departmental budgets. Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate, be flexible and problem-solve. Operationalize network goals, objectives, and imperatives. Understand the change process. Demonstrate leadership competency in effectiveness standards.
