Nurse Manager
Responsibilities:
+ Under the direction of the AAUC Medical Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating daily operations to ensure quality of patient care.
+ Be the liaison between the AAUC Physicians and staff.
+ Provides leadership and support in day-to-day operations.
+ Serves as a role model and consultants for staff.
+ Ensures policies and procedures are properly communicated and adhered to.
+ Ensures that staff is competent in emergency procedures and protocols.
+ Prepares and completes the monthly staff schedules and enters scheduling software.
+ Manages staff paid time off bank with fairness.
+ Find coverage for unexpected call out or surges of volume to always maintain patient safety.
+ Ensures all patients have appropriate patient education and discharge instructions.
+ Oversee staff orientation and education.
+ Ensures staff is educated and practices radiation protection.
+ Participates on the following:
+ Patient Care Committee
+ Infection Prevention on Site Designee
+ Assists in utilizing resources effectively.
+ Monitors and controls staff and overtime usage
+ Specializes in assessing, intervening, and stabilizing a variety of illnesses with decisive action.
+ Ability to utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of care.
+ Must be competent in reading EKG’s and obtaining IV access.
+ Ability to handle complex and rapidly shifting situations.
+ Collaborates with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidenced based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Qualifications:
The Nurse Manager shall be a registered nurse and shall have at least one year of full-time, or full-time equivalent, experience in nursing supervision and/or nursing administration in a licensed health care facility.
Required:
Valid New Jersey Nursing license
Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS required.
Preferred:
BSN
