The RN evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing careThe Registered Nurse assists physicians during examinations and proceduresThe RN performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurseThe RN promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skillsRelies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPerforms a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedThe Registered Nurse typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
Requirements:
Graduate of a nursing program. Bachelor's Degree is preferredOne (1) year post partum, newborn, and Labor & Delivery experience is strongly preferredCurrent Mississippi RN licensure is requiredBLS is requiredNRP certification is required (or within 30 days of hire into the position for new certifications & prior to independent patient care assignment)STABLE certification is preferred
