Job Summary

The RN - Oncology Research Coordinator is responsible for coordinating assigned clinical research studies by performing diverse clinical, regulatory, and clerical responsibilities requiring analysis, judgment, and knowledge of clinical research.  Facilitates clinical research studies with participants, staff, investigators, and sponsoring organizations.  Ensures quality patient care for cancer patients and their families.  The coordinator works with patients and their families, beginning with evaluation and continuing through all required treatment phases, in a compassionate and professional manner in order to achieve excellence and continuity of care throughout all phases of cancer treatment as required per the protocol.

Education and/or Experience

Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. One to two year’s research experience, or one to two year’s oncology, transplant, or hematology experience required.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required. Certification by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) preferred.

Work Schedule

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm with variations; 80 hours every 2 weeks

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$29.50 - $44.25 per hour
