Job Duties:

In this role, the RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse will function as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers.

About the Unit:

Outpatient Cardiovascular (OPCV) is a 17-bed unit specializing in the care of pre and post cardiac/vascular patients having heart catheterizations, electrophysiology studies with catheter/pulmonary vein ablations, pulmonary embolism thrombectomies, device implantations, and other cardiovascular procedures. In order to optimize patient outcomes, nurses spend time educating patients and families about new medications, diagnoses, pre and post procedure care, as well as schedule follow-up appointments prior to discharge to improve patient compliance and management of health conditions at home.

Qualifications:

Current Indiana or compact state RN license.

BLS for Healthcare Provider required.

ACLS required within 12 months of hire.

One year of Critical Care, Surgery, Cath Lab, or pre/post Cath Unit experience is preferred.
