Has great communication skills and demonstrates a deep understanding of teaching methods. **Location:** SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital St. Louis, MO 63104 **Job Summary:** Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates activities planning for an assigned service or population. **Job Responsibilities and Requirements:** PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES + Collaborates with community partner leaders an staff to assess learning needs. + Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs which may utilize methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. + Provides technical assistance and leadership to community healthcare professionals as related to education programs and/or Quality Improvement (QI) projects. + Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials. + Keeps records of educational activities and prepares reports. + Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to education programs. + As an SSM Health nurse, will demonstrate the professional nursing standards defined in the professional practice model. + Uses the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide their response to the current and evolving health and nursing needs of our patient and client populations. + Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION + Bachelor's degree in Nursing with a nursing certification in a related field (to be obtained within 6 months of hire) or Master's degree in Nursing EXPERIENCE + Five years' registered nurse experience in the field of position applied for. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. + Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. + Frequent keyboard use/data entry. + Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. + Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. + Rare climbing.
