RN- Parkview Home Infusion Pharmacy Liaison
Summary: This position primarily works out of our hospital locations coordinating referrals and providing bedside teaching/administration of therapeutic IV treatments and infusions. Additional responsibilities include coordinating referrals, administering therapeutic IV treatments and infusions, educating patients and caregivers, managing complications with infusion therapies, monitoring patient’s response to treatment, performing patient assessments, reviewing lab reports and drug information and collaborating with providers and pharmacy. Patient visits may also be conducted in the home and in our Ambulatory Infusion Suite located on New Vision Dr. Will provide medication administration at times. Participates in the evaluation of patients referred to the agency. Works collaboratively with the health care team to remove barriers and achieve the desired outcomes for patients/families. Occasional weekend call. Education: Must be a graduate of a school of nursing. If a graduate of a school of nursing, effective 11/29/15, must be a graduate of an accredited ASN or BSN program. Nurses with ASN, hired/rehired or transferred from a non-nursing position on or after November 29, 2015 must obtain BSN from an accredited program within five years of employment or will not be eligible to continue nursing employment with Parkview. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA). Licensure/Certification: If education is in nursing must have current licensure as either an RN or LPN Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance. Experience: Two years experience in a clinical setting or experience in home health care or health related marketing.
