As a Perianesthesia Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective recovery of patients following anesthesia. You will provide comprehensive care, monitoring, and support to help patients transition from the effects of anesthesia to full consciousness and recovery.

Job Description:

Role: Perianesthesia Registered Nurse (RN)

Provides direct patient care to patients in the immediate preoperative, postoperative, or postprocedural period using the nursing process following applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

What You'll Do:

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluate the learning needs of the patient and provide patient education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

Your Qualifications:

Possess a current State of Maine RN license or the ability to obtain one promptlyDemonstrate the ability to seek out resources independently and work collaboratively within a teamAt least one year of experience is preferredStrong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for this role.
