POSITION SUMMARY
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for executing the nursing process of assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, evaluating all delivery of care, coordinates with the medical plan and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. This position communicates with surgeons, anesthesia providers and other members of healthcare team regarding patient condition and appropriate care, as needed. The Operating Room Registered Nurse is accountable for direct patient care and for supervising the care provided by professional and ancillary personnel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current license registration for the State of Washington. A minimum two (2) years of recent experience in circulating in the OR in an acute care setting. Ability to meet all of the requirements of a circulating RN in an acute care OR as defined by AORN and validated through observation, competency testing, interview practical and/or practice deliverable required. Ability to circulate independently on general, orthopedic, GYN, GU, eye and other OR/GI cases required in current services as well as new added service lines. Current BLS card (maintenance required).
Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience required. CNOR preferred.
