Statement of Purpose:
The Post Care nurse provides follow-up care for patients whose tests are not resulted at the time of their departure from the emergency department. The nurse utilizes written guidelines to ensure appropriate care and collaborates with the emergency physician for a plan of action in instances when results do not fall within the written guidelines.Qualifications
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing for Registered Nurses
Certification / License: Current RN license in Massachusetts. Current CPR skill
ACLS not required on these floors: 5th Floor, 4th Floor, Consigli, Infusion, IV, Wound Care
ACLS required on these floors only:
ICU, Draper PCU, MP-1, Gannett, Float Pool, Endoscopy, Cardiac Cath Lab
Experience: Minimum of 4 years Emergency Nursing experience. Previous Post Care experience preferred
MRMC Differentials:
Hospital differentials are: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends. All differentials are paid based per hospital policy.
