Program Manager for the Maryland Region
POSITION PURPOSE:
Serves as a member of the Trinity Health National FirstChoice Program team. Provides clinical and administrative leadership for planning, organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating safe, superior and preeminent quality patient care to ensure the advancement of clinical practice and patient care for the national traveler program that is consistent with the ANA Scope of Practice and Nursing Code of Ethics, the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Standards, and regulatory requirements. Ensures the FirstChoice staff hired to deliver patient care: quality of care delivered, engagement of the FirstChoice colleague, overall performance, etc.
Responsible for 24/7 overall management of the System Staffing Office to include all members of the Office team. This is to include management of the department staff, hiring and terminations.
Participates in and supports the strategic development and outcomes management of nursing and clinical services and/or department improvements within multi areas of responsibility, which in alignment with the Trinity Health National FirstChoice office directives and standards.
Collaborates with and supports the national program director as well as other key leaders, groups, and stakeholder audiences in the development and implementation of operational plans, goals and objectives. This position reports to the Trinity Health National First Choice Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. State of Practice: Registered Nursing license.
2. Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in nursing, Business or Health Administration preferred. * Prefer experience in Women's/Children's Health.
3. Minimum of three (3) years clinical nursing or leadership experience at the unit level in a related health care setting.
4. Knowledge of professional nursing practice in a clinical specialty evidenced through professional practice/administrative certification. Certification required within 18 months of hire.
5. Member of a professional nursing organization required.
6. Thorough working knowledge and understanding of the Electronic Medical Record and other advanced health care technologies.
7. Understanding of the health care environment and all applicable laws and regulations.
8. Demonstrated knowledge of system thinking, change leadership, shared governance, matrix reporting, continuous improvement and financial and productivity management.
9. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with all members of the health care team.
10. Ability to synthesize and interpret clinical, quality, and financial data.
