This PreSurgical EvaluationRN position is Full Time with Benefits (80 hours per 2-week pay period).This role will also be cross trained to PreOp.The shift is a 8-hour day shift that starts at 0830 and is located at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista. This position is Monday- Friday with no call or weekends

Join our team as an RN in the PSE Surgery Department where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

One (1) year of recent RN experience in an acute care setting.California Registered Nurse LicenseCurrent BLSfrom the American Heart AssociationMust be able to speak, read and follow instructions in EnglishMust be able to demonstrate positive behaviors

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in nursing2 years pre-surgical evaluation experience or Pre Anesthesia testingBilingual Spanish speakingSpecialized knowledge, skill and abilities in empirical practical perioperative nursingAdvanced knowledge in critical care practice of nursingPrevious ambulatory surgery experience is preferred
